I love tanukits <3.  They're so cute with there little drums and big eyes.  Come on just look at this guy http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Baby_Raccoon_Ponpoko :3.  I have been playing these bad boys since they were released on Devpro many months ago and have grown to love the deck.  I consider myself a semi-expert on them xD.  The homework this week shall be to make a competitive tanukit deck, that easy :3.  I shall graded it at the end using my most basic build as a guide.  Explanations on choices will be needed.  Warning Net decks shall receive a fail dun dun dunnnn :O. So good luck everyone and most importantly enjoy your selves Very Happy.

P.S If I hear one mention of the stupid, stupid, TCG name for the tanukits blood shall be spilt :O.

baby ra- um, Tanukits are surprisingly good, testing brought them up against Agents, Blackwings, and Plant rulers, only time I lost a game was vs the Agents when he opened double hyperion, Earth, and double summon (?). that 'un was painful. anyways, deck pic below:
https://i.imgur.com/iNwfBN6.png
I chose to base slightly around level 2 Beasts, using baby ra- Tanukits as much as I could, but there are only two of them... techs like book of moon weren't bad, but I ended up removing one for the karma cuts,  I just like them better. extra deck is pretty standard, I like using some synchros in there (blader won vs rulers singlehandedly) so I'm running veiler and the familiar guy (uni-horned familiar).
list of cards for those with bad graphics cards:
Monsters:
3 baby ra- Tanukit ponpoko
3 baby ra- Tanukit tantan
1 dark cat with white tail
2 effect veiler
2 green baboon, defender of the forest
1 mogmole
3 ojama blue
3 ojama red
3 uni-horned familiar
2 wind-up kitten
Spells:
3 closed forest
2 pot of duality
3 solidarity
Traps:
1 bottomless trap hole
2 dimensional prison
2 karma cut
2 mirror force
1 solemn warning
1 torrential tribute

hdlofstrom:

  • Pretty nice build but the tuner is pretty terrible the level 2 fabled tuner is better as that gives you access to the fabled synchros, junk synchron is also another alternative.  The ojama engine is pretty nice, I like the 6 ojama build, it's more consistent but on the flip side you only get 1 or 2 pushes with it. The 2 defenders of the forest are nice, and the cat is meh, I can't decide.  It punishes over extension but does nothing other wise :l, hane-hane in my opinion is better.
  • Closed forest is ok, I prefer to side it in though as versus a non-field card deck is it becomes a dead draw.  I would never main 3.  Solidarity is very nice and I guess that is why you don't play junk synchron xD.  Even though I personally would prefer to play Junk over this.
  • Trap line up is nice, even though you play veiler I always play a few fiendish chains, this of course is personal preference.
  • The extra deck line up seems pretty meh to me.  You will never need 3 gachi and 3 raccoon, never.  You could have played armory arm or more 6s e.g vuclan.  Overall a decent build and a good 1st effort.  Taking into account that most people have never even heard of this archtype before your final score shall be a B.

feel free, I get stupid nicknames everywhere. and yeah Aster, I would agree with most of what you said, reason I like veiler over chains is simply because it gives me black rose access. wasn't aware of the fabled tuner, I don't really use these kinds of archetypes... ever... that is indeed a good idea. I have found myself going into three raccoon before, but I agree on the three gachi, I'm probably going to do some swapping to add in fableds. I like Closed Forest because 1. Dragons w/ ravine are THE biggest meta atm and 2. the attack boost is really useful when I don't have solidarity and don't want to sack my token point-for-pointing. also, people always assume there's a point to the field spell. it will ALWAYS get MSTed over one of my backrow.
