Let's kick start this place again

Let's get this place full of life again, however I need help from you guys as I don't have much time to spend on it. Elections will take place for the role of academy co-leader and tournament organisers will be assigned.

Great, this place certainly has the potential to be buzzing again as it was in the early days and weeks, it just needs a little impetus. I don't think the fact that it has died down recently is too discouraging - we just need to give people an incentive to be on more.

As for co-leader, I would like to retract what I said about Alexis - since I started backing her, I have not seen her on even once. And she and I are in the same time-zone.

For this reason, contrary to what I said in another post, I think it may have to be the case that a dorm-leader be co-leader of the academy, as long as this does not interfere with their other responsibilities. So if Aster, Torak or Atticus start receiving support, I don't have any personal problem with this.

As for my own candidacy, I don't hold any ambitions. I will only consider taking on the position if I get nominated by people, but other than this, I'm happy to stand aside and let someone else take the position.

As for ideas to get this place more lively, I stand by what I said in an earlier topic; I think the reason why this place has died down is because we are losing people so early. We need to stop a conveyor-belt of recruit-test-you're on your own now. I really think we should have a "So I have just joined the academy - what next?" page, listing all the things that they can get involved with straight away, and direct new members to it as a matter of recruiting policy. Otherwise they are going to simply join up, and not come back.

Yeah I understand what you mean. Part of the reason why the academy has died is that no real events have taken place so far, due to me having to focus on my studying which has to come first, which is exactly why I'm getting some dedicated tournament organisers to help improve this.

Also regarding Alexis, I haven't seen her much although I haven't been on much myself, if I can speak to her I will. For the meantime dom I want you to get an academy team together and be a war organiser. The reason for your selection to do this is although your a dorm leader you have no one to lead as your dorm is empty.

When you say war-organizer, do you mean I have to take the academy's best duelists and organize for them to duel teams from other academies?

I think that dorm leaders should be a first option for tournament organisers and the like, since they already know how to leader. I am a bit concerned about Torak being given a job like that, since he hasn't posted much since I joined, nor has he made any doem testing.
On another note, I would like to apply for tournament organiser, as I have lead stuff like that on other clans/academies before.

I think that we definitely need a Co-Leader, and although I would like the position I'm getting a lot of negative vibe from people at the moment, so I don't know if I'm a good candidate. I also definitely agree with what Dominant said about a what-to-do-next page Smile

1. D'you know why Rakhalix was banned? I can't find a reason.

Umm actually it was due to him trying to get Peg to change some things. Thats because i told him too, half the stuff on here were someone elses academys things. so rakhalix told him to change it but then he was banned :/ so it wasnt because he was being butthurt, it was because he didnt want to copy another academy

Here i have proof, okay so you know Maximillion pegasus main account is Dragonlord of the DW right? Well hes tried to bring down or steal things from a bunch of other academies and teams, i know cause hes been trying to ruin a couple of my friends teams and academys for awhile now, eventaull he gave up and make kaiba corp academy, that failed after my friend opened up his academy, and since they wouldnt let him back on he stole some of their gfx's for this academy, eventually rakh convinced him to change it, but dwl still banned him, herers some images of when he tried to take over their team or academys

Yes that is his main account, thats why the academy link is on his profile, he also has other "Darkworld" accounts and that Kaiba Corp account in one of the photos for his kaba corp duel academy, he usually makes a new account for almost all his academies
